’12 Points from Greece goes to…’ Helena at Eurovision 2015

Helena returned to the Eurovision Song Contest last night, 10 years after winning the contest in Kiev, Ukraine in 2005. This time she was presenting the votes from Greece. ‘My Number One’ still remains prevalent among Eurovision fans as snippets of Helena’s win were played throughout the night. ‘My Number One’ has also recently been voted the ‘Ultimate Eurovision Winner’  by BBC Radio 2 listeners. You can watch Helena giving the votes as well as a short video from the rehearsals above. Reaction from the audience and on social media regarding Helena’s appearance has been positive. She posted a photo of her outfit to all of her social media outlets which was designed by Mi-Ro designers.

After announcing the Greek votes, Helena took to social media to post a touching video and she explained the rush of emotions that she was feeling when giving the votes. She also wished her fans all the best.


About Eurovision

This was the 60th Eurovision Contest and was held in Vienna, Austria, after Conchita Wurst won the 2014 contest with her song ‘Rise Like a Phoenix’ (You can hear Helena’s cover of the song here). This year’s contest was won by Måns Zelmerlöw from Sweden with his song ‘Heroes’.
