Helena appeared on RIX FM’s morning programme “MorronZoo” earlier today where she gave an interview to Markoolio, Adam Alsing and Brita Zackari. This is what she said;
After a brief introduction telling all of the listeners about Helena’s career and achievements thus far, Fredrik looks forward to Saturday where Helena will compete in the first heat of Melodifestivalen 2014 with the song “Survivor.” Helena said that she felt more nervous after hearing her age than the thought of competing in the Melodifestivalen. She then said that she likes to get older and become more mature. She likes to stand on her own feet more now than she could when she was 23 (when she last competed in Eurovision and won with “My Number One”). Markoolio likens Elena to a vine as she “gets better and better over the years.” They then spoke briefly about her debut hit “Opa Opa” with duo Antique back in 1999.
When asked to talk about her song “Survivor,” Helena confirms that it will be a mid-tempo ballad but she is sad because due to the rules of “Mello” she is not allowed to sing the song before Saturday. She cannot wait for Saturday when she can sing it freely. On her chances of winning, Helena said that she hopes everyone will win and that it is a healthy competition and that everyone is there to have fun. Regarding her outfit, Helena said that the dress will be long and black and you will see her legs. There will be glitter on her dress and on the stage.
