Just one year ago, on 7th September 2013, Helena gave one of her career defining performances at MAD North Stage Festival 2013. Helena was the opening act of the festival which included other artists such as Peggy Zina and Mihalis Hatzigiannis. Helena was energetic and youthful whilst performing a range of her hits. This concert has since become a fan favourite and just by watching a few minutes of the performance you can see why!
Helena’s set-list consisted of thirty-three songs which included her main hits and some tracks from her latest Greek-language album ‘Ti Ora Tha Vgoume’. She also performed some covers of other artists (Stellios Rokkos’s ‘Emina Edo’ and Eleftheria Arvanitaki’s ‘Tis Kalinihtas Ta Fila’) as well as I Agapi Ine Zali (Recorded during her time in duo ‘Antique’). As a surprise, Helena performed a section of ‘Just One More Night’, an exclusive from her since released English-language album ‘One Life’.
After a short performance by supporting artist, Helena enters the stage on the above video at 00:25:32.

2013 marked the 78th Thessaloniki International Festival of Helexpo. The event which was a highlight in Greece in the mid 50s, 60s and 70s, as suffered a popularity decline in recent decades and was on hiatus from 2009-2013. It was hoped that the star-studded line up would increase its popularity once again. Since 1962, TIF and its exhibition, staged a festival modelled on the San Remo festival, the ‘Song Festival of Thessaloniki’ (as it became known). The festival staged many popular artists and was often used by established and upcoming artists alike for a career boost. Previously, stars that have performed at the festival have included Nana Mouskouri, Anna Vissi and Sakis Rouvas.
MAD TV’s North Stage Festival is a joint project by MAD TV & Helexpo SA, the Greek National Exhibition Agency. Even though TIF is mainly a technology and commerce exhibition, it has strong links to music events. The event is held in Thessaloniki (Greece), the original capital of Macedonia.
